About Us

Our vision is to create a future where no Veteran stands alone—empowered by Service Dogs, inspired by hope, and embraced by a supportive community.

Why we serve

Our Mission

The mission of Patriot PAWS is to train and provide Service Dogs of the highest quality at no cost to disabled American Veterans and others with mobile disabilities in order to help restore their physical and emotional independence.

We Believe in Community.

At Patriot PAWS, we strive to cultivate a supportive community where Veterans, Service Dogs, staff, and Volunteers connect with purpose. Together, we build a network of strength and encouragement, creating lasting partnerships that restore independence and instill hope. United, we are committed to ensuring every Veteran finds companionship, confidence, and a place to call home within the Patriot PAWS family.

We Believe in Empowerment.

Empowerment is at the heart of all we do, both for our team and those we serve. We invest in Veterans by equipping them for independence, in our staff, by nurturing growth and skill development, and in our supporters by fostering meaningful engagement. Together, we create a dynamic community where every individual is inspired to make a difference, ensuring that the impact we make is both lasting and life-changing.

We Believe in Integrity.

At Patriot PAWS, we uphold the highest ethical standards, prioritizing honesty, fairness, and accountability in all our actions. Whether we're serving Veterans, training our Service Dogs, or managing resources, our team is committed to doing what’s right, which builds trust and credibility within our community.

We Believe in Excellence.

We pursue excellence and innovation in all things, from ensuring the health and training of our Service Dogs to providing outstanding support for Veterans. By embracing new ideas and setting high standards, we prepare Service Dog to meet the unique needs of their Veterans, fostering independence, trust, and lifelong connections.

Who we are

Our Story

Patriot PAWS began with a simple belief: those who served our country deserve every chance to live with dignity, purpose, and independence. Too many of our Veterans come home facing battles they never expected to fight— the kind that follows them into civilian life. We saw a way to help.

Since our founding in 2006, we've been training Service Dogs to support Veterans with mobility challenges, Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS), military sexual trauma, and traumatic brain injury (TBI). What started as a small operation has become a full-scale program with university partnerships, a prison-based training system, and a dedicated campus located in Rockwall, Texas.

Every Service Dog we place is trained with one goal in mind—to change a life. And every Veteran we serve reminds us why that mission matters.

Rockwall Main Campus

Right when they arrive, each of our Service Dogs will begin working on simple commands, such as sitting and maintaining eye contact. Once they’ve mastered the basics and received their vaccinations, they’ll head to one of our three branch programs to continue their training.

SAVE A VETERAN IN NEED

Help us keep changing Veterans’ lives, four paws at a time.

Patriot PAWS' mission isn’t possible without your donations. Each of our Service Dogs takes 18–24 months to train at a cost of over $45,000. Veterans will never receive a bill, so every dollar makes a difference. Your generosity will go right to work to help Veterans with mobile disabilities and Post-Traumatic Stress.

A Word From Our Founder

“What started as simply providing dog training courses outside of my full-time job has developed into establishing a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has changed the lives of hundreds of Veterans and their families throughout 40 states of our country. It has been nothing short of amazing to watch this organization blossom since our inception in 2006.

However, there is still more work to be done, and we can’t do it without you. Please consider donating your time, money, or resources to help us fulfill our mission. Every dollar makes a difference in helping us provide a service to those who have served. Thank you for believing in our cause!”
