Business Jet Cares Supports Patriot PAWS at Upcoming 7th Annual Golf Tournament

We are excited to announce that our friends at Business Jet Cares, the 501(c)(3) charitable organization created by Business Jet Center and Business Jet Access, will once again support Patriot PAWS at its 7th Annual Cleared to Land on the Green Charity Golf Tournament on November 15, 2019.  The Scramble Format Tournament, held at the elite Cowboys Golf Club in Grapevine, TX kicks off with a gourmet breakfast, followed by a putting and chipping contest. Golfers then hit the course for a 10:00 am shotgun start where they participate in various on-course games and competitions at each hole, as well as enjoyed a plethora of giveaways, snacks, and specialty drinks throughout the day.

Last year, the tournament raised a record-breaking $60,000, which was donated to Patriot PAWS and our co-beneficiary, Folds of Honor.  Cat Clay, Tournament Coordinator,  said, “I am still in complete awe of all the support Business Jet Cares has received. This tournament has quickly grown into something much bigger than we ever expected and we couldn’t be more thankful for all the sponsors, golfers, and  volunteers. Freedom doesn’t come free and this is a very small way for us to ‘thank you’ to all the men and women who have and continue to put their lives on the line.”

Main highlights at the 2018 tournament included a Beat the Pro hole where golfers had the opportunity to knock it closer to the hole than former LPGA golfer, Chelsea Kinard; and the Cannon Shoot where golfers were given the chance to shoot their golf ball 400 yards out of a custom cannon onto the green in exchange for a small donation to the tournament charities. Of course, we brought puppies in training to the course and they were able to mingle with the golfers and pose for photos. An awards ceremony and dinner wrapped up the day with special guest speakers from Folds of Honor and Patriot PAWS sharing personal testimonies on how each charity has assisted, and changed the lives of their families. To end the evening, Apple Watches and the opportunity to name a puppy in training were raffled off as grand prizes.
